LSSU Department of Information Technology Help Desk is available to assist with issues you may encounter while using university provided computers or you personal computer in the residence halls. We provide both help over the phone and in person via walk-ins as well as sending our consultants out to resolve issues.

Open computer labs are available for any student. The Learning Center also has a lab available.

Banner implementation will occur over the next 2-3 years. Implementation will be challenging and will create additional work for many individuals and offices. However, this step forward is absolutely necessary. External support of the current Plus system will end in the next few years. Students, staff, and faculty are asking for improved reporting, increased system availability, and expanded web-based administrative and academic applications. LSSU must have up-to-date technology to meet these needs. SunGard SCT consultants will provide major assistance with the implementation. Learn more here

Internet Stations appear in the Walker Cisler Student and Conference Center as well as the Library. These stand alone computers have basic, Internet programs installed on them, and are useful for checking your e-mail or My.LSSU accounts when you are away from your room.

You can now get free, legal music downloads from www.ruckus.com.  Lake Superior State University has partnered with Merit Network and Ruckus, Inc. (www.ruckus.com) to provide a free LEGAL music downloading service to all students. Click here for more information!
